Congratulations to Jeremy again for making two back to back spectacular shots. Some details about our hunt, first off, sorry for the shoty Audio. Garbage in, garbage out. The next video we produce will have better Audio.

Now then, we began our hunt at 7am. We spotted the Elk at about 9am. We then tried to make a line on him, however, he eluded us completely. We took a break and regrouped for lunch at 12pm

After lunch we decided to return to the high ground so as to glass around. Little did we know, the Elk had maneuvered right beneath us. Miles of land to roam and he literally found us.

When you are lucky, you are lucky. That day though, angels were on Jeremy's shoulders.

Everything went right.

Even now, I get all worked up just thinking about it. Thank you again to my awesome crew, our host Joe Hardesty (Pine Mountain Outfitters), our Taxidermist  (Atcheson Taxidermy) and to our boy, Jeremy Neuzil.

Tallyho.

Awsome job guys!!!!!  You captured the hunt exactly as it was.  The video was great and don't sell yourself short on the audio, I thought it sounded just fine!  Thank you again for this experience.  It couldn't have been a better time!

Thank you! We had a ton of fun. I will be back to Pine Mountain for sure. That Bison has my name on it. He stank eyed me one too many times!

A big thank you to all our sponsors, our very gracious hosts Pine Mountain Outfitters and Joe Hardesty! As far as our hunter goes... well.. This hunt couldn't have gone to a nicer more aprreciative person! I'm glad to have had the opportunity to meet Jeremy and hopefully the next time we see each other and go hunting I will be behind a trigger and not a camera! I'm calling you up as soon as I hit your neck of the woods Jeremy, you have to put me onto one of those legendary Iowa/Illinois Whitetails! I hope everyone enjoys the video.

Tammik- I'll be your cameraman for any hunt!  I'm sure there is a whitetail here in Iowa with your name on it somewhere.  I'll keep my eyes open for him!  I had a great time!  Get me your and Will's address, I'm making jerky this week!

First batch is a little too dry for my liking.  It tastes great but needs a lot of saliva!  I'll watch the second batch a little closer!

Save the drier stuff for winter hunting............less moisture, less frozen!

Dry jerky.... this is what I would do with it.

1 small ziplock bag

1/4 cup rice, 1/2 tablespoon of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of seasoned salt or your favorite spices, 1/2 cup of dried vegi's of your choice (homemade or store bought), dried jerky crumbled or torn into small bits.

Put everything into your ziplock bag and roll it up. There you have a stew mix on the go throw it in your hunting pack for quick eat so you don't have leave the woods or toss it in your bug out bag. Just add a cup, water and a fire you have a yummy quick meal.

Actually, once it cooled down it seemed to get a little more moisture back into it.  I'm really happy with it.  The problem is keeping from just pigging out on it!  lol

WHAT DID I JUST SEE?

Did WHC just set the bar for the next generation of Outdoor Videography? I believe so. That HUD will be copied. Mark my words. But you guys were the first. Well done and with great taste. Nice shooting as well Jeremy. A perfect storm.

Thanks Arrow!  You are 100% correct about this video setting the bar.  The HUD was great andit communicates to the young generation of hunters out there.  That and the map I think will be copied.  Michael, Erik, Will and who ever else had a hand in the video did a great job!  I'm just glad I was able to hold up my end of the bargain! lol

Whoa you're starting to look like an old man!  Is that a hint of grey I see?  I grew a handle bar mustache for fun, it's almost all grey.  No grey hair on my head yet though, I look ridiculous :-)

LOL.  Yep, Funny how that happens.  I am standing in the sunlight coming in the window so it looks way worse in the pic than it really is but I'm getting that touch of grey look.  We aren't young and built-proof anymore Battle!
