I ordered a couple Barska scopes to try out.  More info to follow when they arrive.

Anybody have any Barska victories or horror stories?

Barska makes great optics for the buck. I use one on my AR-15 and it has had zero problems. For a good cheap knockaround scope you can't go wrong! (in my opinion)

BARSKA 6.5-20x50 AO Varmint Target Dot Riflescope arrived and has been unboxed this evening.  Hopefully I will have time to try it out this weekend.  Seems like a pretty sweet scope for less than $70.  We'll see how it does.

What are you using it on?

"On" as in firearm will be an AR initially unless I want to play musical optics with some other rifles.  "On" as in game will be coyote, hopefully an attempt at prairie dogs one day and or the occasional misbehaved golf ball that needs an attitude adjustment.  I need to hit my scope box to pull something out for my Henry lever action .22 too but figured this was a little overkill for the classic look of the Henry.

Henry lever action is the proud holder of a Bushnell 4X32 Rimfire scope.  I'll get to see how it does this week after this ice gets outta Dodge.

Pictures of mounted scope for scale and showing the risers I had to put on due to the 50mm lense and fixed front iron sight.  Sitting on a flat top AR here>> http://worldhuntingclub.com/viewh.php?id=60#a and another here>> http://worldhuntingclub.com/viewh.php?id=59#a

That one is just a stock Smith & Wesson M&P 15 chambered in 5.56.  There's a Mako magazine grip I threw on there so my wife had another option while firing.  My AR is a RRA Comp Elite also in 5.56 but I haven't posted any pictures of that yet.  I'll hopefully get to that this weekend.  Trying to get some time behind the trigger tomorrow or Sunday so we'll see how it works out.

Wife chewed up my Saturday and the ice storm put the brakes on my Sunday.  Not a darn round fired all weekend!

Fell into another Barska scope so cheap I couldn't pass it up.  Should be here Thursday and ready to knock around this weekend.  Figured I'd drop it on my CVA Wolf and see how it does there.  Got a Barska 3-9x50 Hunmaster Riflescope that I'm hoping holds up to the muzzleloader.  I've been poking around looking for a good scope deal to play around with on the muzzleloaders and didn't look a gift horse in the mouth on this one.  Should be fun :-)

We're in business.  Scope showed up today so I'll mount and try it out MAYBE Saturday morning, very excited.  Who isn't when you add a new toy to the chest :-)

It's warm outside.  I think I'll be able to sneak out this Saturday morning for a bit and show my kids how to shoot a muzzleloader :-)  They've been dying to shoot my Wolf.
